S-AR is our first monography. A book edited by Arquine featuring a selection of 12 representative works of our architecture studio. S-AR is a collaborative architecture studio based in Monterrey and Mexico City, led by César Guerrero and Ana Cecilia Garza. Their works breaks down concepts and details to build a discourse that is transformed into a recurrent project: a landscape-format prism, an isomorphic structure, a limited palette of materials and a number of prior decisions taken in respect of the siting, views or insolation. In this way, they explore the essential potential of volumetric simplicity of the modern idiom, with rigor, self absorption and profundity.
